Ms. Manalo is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 20 years of experience in accounting and finance and administration in both government and the private sectors in the transportation, information technology (IT), trading, power generation, and manufacturing in the Philippines, Bangladesh, Papua New Guinea (PNG), and the Marshall Islands.
Ms. Manalo graduated with a BS in Accountancy degree from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in Manila in 1992. She ranked 4th in the Accounting Departmental Examination and in the Taxation Departmental Examination in 1992. Her excellent academic performance served as the springboard for her accounting career.
In 2000, she first joined PRIMEX as Assistant Manager for Finance and Administration, where she handled accounting, bookkeeping, and taxes. She also managed the USAID-funded Coastal Resource Management Project, which covered six provinces (Cebu, Bohol, Palawan, Davao, General Santos, and Negros Oriental) in the Philippines from 2000-2004.
She left PRIMEX in 2006 to work for a power generation company in Bangladesh. That was followed by jobs in a trading company in PNG and with the Ports Authority of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, where she held the position of Government Comptroller. After 12 years of working overseas, she decided to return home for good.
She returned to PRIMEX in October 2017 as Chief Accountant and ISO Lead in October 2017 and was promoted to Vice President for Finance and Administration in January 2018. As such, she reports directly to the PRIMEX President and CEO, whom she assists in ensuring the financial viability and profitability of the Company through efficient and effective financial management. She is primarily responsible for providing overall management, supervision, and coordination of all activities in finance and administration as well as in routine operational concerns. Ms. Manalo works closely with the Vice President for Technical Services in the preparation of project proposals, specifically the preparation of cost estimates and financial proposals, and in ensuring that timely and adequate administrative and logistics backstopping is provided to ongoing projects.
Ms. Manalo has been a member of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) since 1996.
