Apart from being Chairman of PRIMEX, Mr. Leviste is Chairman of OceanaGold Philippines Inc. and Member of the Board of Directors of OceanaGold Corporation (OGC) in Melbourne, Australia, which is listed in the Toronto, Australian, and New Zealand Stock Exchanges. OGC has operating mines in New Zealand and is operating the new Didipio Gold and Copper Mine in Nueva Vizcaya. OGPI is currently initiating exploration activities in Surigao del Norte.
He also serves as Chairman of Constellation Energy Corporation (CEC), an emerging developer of renewable energy resources focusing on hydropower development in Nueva Ecija, geothermal energy in Mindoro Oriental, and wind energy in Negros Oriental. He is also Chairman of Italpinas Eurasian Design and Development Corporation, a land development company focusing on green architecture and sustainable habitats in Cagayan de Oro City. He is Asia Advisor of the Board for the Philippines of Sindicatum Sustainable Resources of Singapore, which focuses on funding and developing bagasse-based cogen plants and biomass and landfill projects in ASEAN, India, and China.
Mr. Leviste is Chairman and CEO of Enactus Philippines, which is affiliated with Enactus International, an international non-profit organization in 39 countries that mobilizes university students to make a difference in their communities while developing their skills to become socially responsible business leaders and entrepreneurs.
He was appointed by President Benigno S. Aquino III as a Member of the Governing Council of the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
Mr. Leviste is an independent Director of Investment Capital Corporation of the Philippines (ICCP), of Pico De Loro Beach and Country Club in Batangas, and of PTFC Corporation, a publicly listed company in the Philippine Stock Exchange. He is Senior Adviser to Cardno Emerging Markets Services (Philippines); Special Adviser to Atlantic Gulf and Pacific Co. (AG&P) in Bauan, Batangas; Chairman of the Philippines–Spain Business Council (PHSPBC); Resident Representative of the Australia-Philippines Business Council (APBC); Director of the Chamber of Mines of the Philippines; Governor of the Philippine Constitution Association; and Chairman of the Asian Corporate Network (ACN), which provides critical and corporate insights about the local and regional business throughout the Asia Pacific Region for its Philippine clients.
Mr. Leviste completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics (with academic honors) from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1965. He holds two masters degrees: one in Economics from Fordham University, New York in 1967, and another in Business Administration from Columbia University, New York in 1968.
He completed the Pacific Rim Management Program, Doing Business in Japan, at the University of Southern California, USA in 1986. He was a Fellow of the Asia Program of the Woodrow Wilson International Center in Washington DC in 1987 and a Business Associate of the Asia Pacific Research Center of Stanford University in 1995. He received his Doctor of Humanities (Honoris Causa) from the Nueva Vizcaya State University in 2007 for being an Outstanding Businessman and Technocrat.
