Several PRIMEX specialists have been selected by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for staff consultancy assignments in the Philippines and in the Greater Mekong Subregion.
Mr. Felix Noel (Bong) A. Pascua, Jr., international Environment Specialist, has three assignments requiring intermittent inputs. The first is in Myanmar for the Emergency Support for Chin State Livelihood Restoration (January 2018 to October 2019), which involves the rebuilding of cyclone-damaged infrastructure and restoration of livelihoods in villages in Chin State, the poorest and most remote part of the country. His second is the Environmental Safeguards Due Diligence on Transport Projects (May to December 2018), with focus on the rehabilitation and upgrading of the 69.5 kilometer Malolos to Clark International Airport segment of the Philippine National Railways (PNR) North Phase 2 Project. The third is the Bangkok Mass Rapid Transit South Purple Line Project (TA 9394 THA), a proposed 23.6-km MRT line that will run between Tao Poon, the central zone of Bangkok, and Phra Pradaeng, south of the city center.
Dr. Thamrongsak Moenjak also recently completed his engagement as Secondary Education Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Specialist for the preparation of the Secondary Education Support Program (SESP) (TA 9071-PHI) in the Philippines.
On the other hand, Ms. Mariles Lanie R. Navarro recently wrapped up her engagement as International Financial/Economic Specialist for the Central Region Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project (Loan 2609-VIE) in Viet Nam. She helped the ADB mission leader in preparing the project completion report (PCR) of the project.
Finally, Mr. Bui Van Thanh, PRIMEX Country Manager in Vietnam, was chosen as the National Program Support Specialist for the Support to Strengthening Local Health Care Program (TA 9265-VIE) from May to September 2018. He is supporting the ADB project preparation team, which includes another PRIMEX consultant, Mr. Ha Minh Duc, national Finance Specialist, in designing a project that will strengthen primary health care in Viet Nam.
